Blood Sisters
One thing that becomes certain as this movie begins is that director Roberta Findlay aināt exactly one of the Great Masters. The visuals are way too tight, and parts look like it was shot thru a fishbowl. The āactionā begins when a hideously obese prostitute and her john are shotgunned to death in a whorehouse (she should have been paying him for sex), and then cuts to ā13 years laterā, when a group of sorority girls (almost none of whom are likable or have any distinguishing personality traits) decide to spend the night in the now-abandoned brothel as part of an initiation ceremony. After a near endless and pointless party scene, we are then treated to an hour of the different girls wandering around the place on a scavenger hunt during which NOTHING happens, before a killer who seems to be dressed in either a nightie or a clown outfit proceeds to bump them off one by one in the filmās last 25 minutes. Obviously this means pacing is an issue here, since the Voorhees films were at least smart enough to sprinkle different killings throughout their entire running time. Of the actresses here, only the one who plays āMarniā has any real sex appeal, and Director Findlay could really use some lessons in erotic horror, as well as some editing tips so that scenes donāt end so apruptly. The only real pluses we do get are a few glimpses of bare tits and a semi-clever ending that almost defies the standard conventions, but this is just another example of a low-budget horror movie made by someone who doesnāt really know how to make a movie, periodā¦
